Launch of the DTI's Broadband Content Business Case PDF Print E-mail

The DTI's Digital Content and Publishing Unit announces the launch of the Broadband Content Business Case booklet. This has been warmly welcomed by five Ministers and encourages RDAs/DAs to engage with the recommendations to make broadband content and applications integral to economic strategy.

The Business Case outlines the broadband content policy agenda for collaborative working between DTI, RDAs, DAs and industry, and demonstrates that it has a key role in influencing regional economic strategies to help deliver a number of RDA/DA objectives in four key policy areas: business, learning, public sector and community. It demonstrates how effective partnerships need to work between Regions, Nations, their regional delivery partners, DTI and industry for exploiting broadband infrastructure with a range of compelling content and applications. The DTI hopes that the Business Case will place broadband content and applications at the forefront of Regions' and Nations' economic agendas.

The DTI thanked the RDAs/Devolved Admistrations for their partnership and input into the production of this important Business Case and is ready to provide support in helping RDAs/Devolved Administrations at all levels engage with the recommendations from the paper and outcomes/actions agreed in the recent workshop in Aviemore
