The BSG was established as an industry-government advisory group in 2001 to tackle strategic issues across the converging broadband value chain. The BSG is supported by a secretariat provided by Intellect (the UK trade association for the IT, telecoms and electronics industries). Membership of the BSG is voluntary and open to any organisation with a commercial interest in broadband and related services.
