The policy workstream aims to improve the evidence base about the relevance and importance of next generation broadband to the UK economy and society, in order to aid policy and regulatory decision-making.

This workstream currently has two key areas of focus:

  • Researching the economic and social value of next generation broadband more>>
  • Undertaking a cost modelling exercise to explore the costs of FTTC and FTTH deployment in the UK, as part of the government-commissioned independent review of broadband more>>

In addition, the workstream will also be examining other areas such as the international benchmarking of broadband. More information will appear on these issues in due course.
