The policy workstream aims to improve the evidence base about the relevance and importance of next generation broadband to the UK economy and society, in order to aid policy and regulatory decision-making.

Following the completion of the government-commissioned independent review of broadband, led by Francesco Caio (view the final report), the BSG is now focusing on supporting the implementation of the review's recommendations. 

The BSG will also be supporting the government's recently-announced Digital Britain Report process, as set out by BSG Chairman Kip Meek in his speech to the BSG's Autmun Reception. The government's Digital Britain Interim Report included the government's response to the Caio Review, where it accepted the report's conclusions and recommendations.
