The BSG aims to stimulate a debate about how the commercial landscape may need to adapt to allow investment in next generation broadband infrastructure to take place.

This includes a series of events on issues such as business model innovation, traffic prioritisation, network cost sharing and the commercial relationahip between content and delivery platforms.

Most recently, the BSG responded to the BBC Trust's consultation on the BBC's Project Canvas proposals. These proposals could have far reaching implications for the broadband value chain, and the BSG response highlights the key issues for the Trust to consider.

Previously as a part of this work, the BSG has partnered with STL on their ongoing Telco 2.0 project, providing support to its Future Broadband Business Models report and participating in the Telco 2.0 Executive Brainstorm events.

We are also continuing with our Convergence Conversations, in partnership with Intellect. These informal, round-table events allow participants from across the digital marketplace to debate a series of convergence hot-topics, and to network.
