The BSG promotes a regulatory framework that enables and supports investment across the value chain. This includes responding to consultations at UK and EU level, as well as undertaking more specific work on non-domestic rating and video on demand content regulation.

Recent developments have been the European Commission's consultation on its 'draft Recommendation on regulated access to next generation access networks' (supported by an explanatory note) and Ofcom's latest consultation 'Delivering superfast broadband in the UK'.
