Terms of Reference |
| The focus of the 'Broadband Promotion' Working Group is to work collaboratively with government on the delivery of Recommendation 8 of the BSG November 2001 Report - raising awareness and promoting the benefits of Broadband. |

| The Working group will: |
- Develop, agree and implement an action plan for collaborative promotion and awareness raising for consumers and SMEs;
- Provide advice and industry support in the development of the Government's web-based guide to broadband availability, and Oftel's information to consumers;
- Agree a range of support measures and joint action plans with UK Online for Business.
In the development and implementation of plans in these three areas the Working Group will consider:
- Ways in which to illustrate and promote the benefits of broadband;
- How to change the tone of public debate on broadband from negative to positive;
- The development of case studies and networking events;
- Promotion to SMEs and consumers as well as to key public sector departments, people and organisations.
